On Saturday 12th December 2015, Emily Vater, Rebecca Vater and Edwards Fuller of the junior squad headed off to the British Rowing Indoor Championships, at Lee Valle VeloPark. Between the three of them they competed in five different events; three set time pieces and two set distance pieces. All three of them did amazingly.
Emily Vater competed in the four minute set time piece, Girls Year 9 Category, along with 46 other girls. In the four minutes she rowed a distance of 1065m, beating all the other competitors to win gold. She also competed in the Girls Year 9 Category 500m sprint race, winning a second medal of the day, when she completed the 500m in 1.46.6 minutes, taking silver.
Her older sister, Rebecca Vater, competed in the Junior Girls Year 11 500m sprint, wining gold with an impressive time of 1.42.9 minutes. She also competed in the Girls Year 11 set six minute time piece Category. She came in fourth out of 45 and was only 14m off the bronze position.
Edwards Fuller competed in the 3 minute set time piece in the Boys Year 8 category and came fourth out of 29, with a total distance of 819m, only 9m off the bronze medal.
