Exeter Rowing Club was formed in 1946 and can trace its origins back to the early 1800s via organisations including:
- Exeter Amateur Rowing Club (EARC)
- St Thomas Amateur Rowing Club
- Port Royal Amateur Rowing Club
Club records extend as far back as the EARC 1864 Minute Book and we are fortunate to have a large collection of photographs and other records documenting the club’s past.
Exeter Rowing Club remains the largest rowing club in the south west peninsula and maintains success at all levels of the sport from local to international competition.
If you want to know more about the Club, either pop in for a drink and chat one Thursday evening and the ‘Old Boys’ will give you a walk down memory lane or alternatively you can buy our Club’s book ‘Still Afloat by Dr Alan Peacock’ (released March 2014) celebrating 150 years of Rowing.
Clicking on the book will redirect you to Amazon.co.uk.
