Exeter Rowing Club is situated on the Exeter Ship Canal basin on Exeter’s beautiful historic quayside. The origins of the Club can be traced back to the early 1800’s and with over 140 members we are one of the largest and most successful clubs in the region. Our members regularly compete at local, national and international levels.
Rowing is a team sport. We train together, race together and win together. As rowers, coxes and coaches we spend a lot of time within our squads, which is why our club exists as more than just a training facility, we are also a friendly and social group with lots of events and activities taking place off the water.
Our social night is held every Thursday from 7pm in our Clubroom. The atmosphere is welcoming and relaxed with hot food available, and also a fully stocked bar. We run ad-hoc events on our club nights including pub quiz evenings, and skittles and pool skittles tournaments. Thursday club nights are the perfect opportunity to get to know other members of the squads, and we encourage you to come along and meet new people.
