Advice from the Government and British Rowing has been coming in thick and fast and often contradictory but it seems that advice from all sources is becoming clearer and is putting us in a situation where we can take things forward.
The Directors have had a meeting this evening and are supportive of the latest British Rowing advice. This should enable us to open in a limited capacity as long as we are confident that we have gone through the process of making sure we can do this safely for members and for anyone required to service the club facilities.
We will be carrying out a risk assessment over the next few days and will let members know as soon as this is complete – this will dictate the extent of access that members will have.
I have been asked to remind anyone that needs a key to the boathouse or Maclaines to order one from the website – access will not be possible without this.
Please note that the Club remains closed until we complete this process.
I will at this stage highlight that the guidances given more or less steers us away from:
- All indoor activities
- Crew boats (by proximity), unless of the same household.
- Squad sessions.
- Almost all coaching.
