The girls have been training 6 times a week: 5 water sessions each one at least 2 hours in duration and 1 ergo session. After countless trips to Turf, early weekend starts and thousands of meters clocked up on the ergo the hard work is already starting to pay off. The crew has achieved fantastic results at both Wallingford Regatta and Reading Amateur Regatta this year, really making a name for themselves amongst the top rowing clubs in the country.
Henley Women’s Regatta is the premier rowing regatta for women in the UK. Over one thousand women aim to compete at the regatta and crews travel from all around the world to race over the famous Henley Regatta course, from as far afield as the USA, making HWR an international event. The event offers exciting high standard competition at the elite level and intense racing at senior and intermediate level for clubs and universities.
This Wednesday the Exeter crew are travelling to Henley. Their first race will be on Friday evening at 17.18 against Worcester Rowing Club. You can follow their progress on the HWR webpage http://www.hwr.org.uk/results or by following @henley_womens on twitter. Good luck girls!!!
